Paige suspended for 60 days following second wellness policy violation

Two time WWE Divas champion Paige has been suspended by the company for 60 days following a second violation of its wellness policy.

The Norwich-born grappler was already serving a 30 day ban after already failing to meet the policy standard once to what she referred to in her statement as a “procedural issue.”

However, this second failure has been met with anger from the superstar who said she was on prescription medication for a nagging neck injury.

Paige tweeted out: ‘Same shit different day. Kids..Please don’t get prescriptions or doctors notes. Not acceptable

‘Rules apply depending on your status.’

Her father and wrestling promoter Ricky Knight wrote a statement on Facebook blaming the suspension on painkillers his daughter is taking to deal with a neck injury.

He said: ‘She has been in pain and out of in ring action for a fair while now and has been prescribed pain killers which apparently is against the wellness program.

‘I feel my daughter has been let down big time in the USA and the proper care and advice needed in the position she has been in has not happened to say I am pissed off with the situation is an understatement, this is my statement I am not open to questions thank you for your cooperation.’

Having only just turned 24, Paige still has many years of wrestling ahead of her. Whether that remains in the WWE is yet to be seen.
