As one of the most prominent moments in recent wrestling history approaches, WWE have revealed the rules of the new brand draft split.
As revealed on last week’s Monday Night Raw, the McMahon siblings will have control of one show each – Stephanie with Raw and Shane with Smackdown.
With the draft taking place on the premiere episode of Smackdown live tomorrow, there were still many questions from fans as to how exactly it will work.
Now WWE have revealed how the draft will be broken down, with six members of the NXT set to be called up to the main roster.
The rules are as follows:
- Raw has the first overall pick
- Since SmackDown Live is a two-hour show and Raw is three hours, for every two picks SmackDown Live receives, Raw will receive three picks
- Tag teams count as one pick unless a Commissioner/General Manager specifically only wants one member of the team
- Six draft picks will be made off the NXT roster
