First look at the film adaptation of a Street Cat Named Bob

When James Bowen’s autobiographical A Street Cat Named Bob was published in 2012, it warmed the hearts of readers across the world.

Now the big screen adaptation of the number one best-seller looks to warm the hearts of millions more.

And if this first look trailer is anything to go by it will be the perfectly blend of honesty, humour and moving real-life drama which made the original book such a hit.

Luke Treadaway stars as busker Bowen as he deals with his addiction to drugs – but the staring roll of the film is played by the one and only person who could, as Bowen’s feline companion, Bob, makes his silver screen debut.

Directed by Roger Spottiswoode, the film – which is set to be released on November 4 – will also star Joanne Froggatt, Ruta Gedmintas and Anthony Head.
